Association “Women in nuclear – Bulgaria”
Voluntary, professional, and creative organization uniting women working or having interests in the field of education, science, technology, and practice of nuclear energy application and radiation for peaceful purposes implementation.
The association “Women in nuclear – Bulgaria” is part of WiN Global and WiN Europe.
WiN-Global is a global organization of women working in the field of nuclear energy and ionizing radiation application.
Main goals
Through the united efforts of women working in the field of nuclear energy, science, and education to study, develop and safely use nuclear technology for the society’s benefit
To unite
the efforts of women – professionals working in the field of nuclear energy use and the application of radiation in science, education, and medicine for the society’s benefit
To advocate
and propagate the achievements of nuclear technologies in the education and personnel’s training system, to guide and coordinate adolescents for the acquisition of these technologies
To promote
among women from other countries the development of nuclear technologies in Bulgaria and the professional achievements of its members
To support
and to encourage the creative initiatives and professional realization, as well its members’ improvement
To inform
and establish forecasts, opinions, assessments, and recommendations concerning the country scientific, technical, and ecological development
To disseminate
good practices and international experience in solving environmental problems
Women in Nuclear
Founded in 1993, Women in Nuclear Global (WiN Global) is a global organization which supports and encourages women working in nuclear science and its applications throughout the world. WiN Global aims to promote understanding and public awareness of the benefits of nuclear and radiation applications through its network — at national, regional, and international levels.
WiN Global is a non-profit organization, including currently around 35 000 members worldwide. Membership includes women working professionally in medicine and health care, regulatory authorities, industry and independent research.
The members have a common commitment to provide the public with information and an opportunity to communicate.
